Project summary
The ReBOOTCAMP project addresses the pressing issue of youth unemployment, particularly focusing on the critical need for mastering ICT skills in the face of the digital revolution and the COVID-19 outbreak. With an alarming 73.4 million young people aged 15-24 without jobs globally, and Greece ranking highest in youth unemployment in Europe, the project aims to bridge the gap by providing opportunities for youth to acquire essential ICT competencies.
Recognizing the growing demand for ICT experts in the European Union, ReBOOTCAMP focuses on activities geared towards enhancing youth’s ICT skills. These activities include project management, database analysis development, curriculum development, the creation of an open educational platform, and conducting real IT bootcamps to train both youth workers and trainers.
The ReBOOTCAMP project aims to achieve three main results through four key activities. Firstly, it focuses on database analysis and the creation of e-books and research reports to provide valuable insights and resources. Secondly, it develops a comprehensive curriculum using educational resources to structure the ReBOOTCAMP Toolkit, facilitating effective learning for youth workers. Additionally, ReBOOTCAMP aims to establish a robust educational platform and conduct real IT bootcamps tailored to both youth workers and trainers, empowering them with the necessary skills to navigate the digital landscape effectively. By providing ICT upskilling tools and improving key competencies, ReBOOTCAMP seeks to equip young people with the capabilities needed to thrive in the evolving job market and contribute to economic growth and innovation.
