Project summary

About the Project

ADDCLUSION – Including Active Adults in Digitalized Processes was an Erasmus+ project implemented by PYLON ONE, dedicated to promoting digital inclusion, lifelong learning, and active participation in an increasingly digital society.

The project addressed the challenges faced by adult learners, particularly older adults, in accessing and using modern digital technologies. Recognising that digital literacy is essential for independence, communication, and social participation, ADDCLUSION sought to make digital education more accessible, practical, and inclusive.

Through international learning mobilities, interactive educational activities, and intercultural exchanges, participants were encouraged to develop essential digital competences, strengthen their confidence, and discover new opportunities for personal development.

At its heart, ADDCLUSION promoted a simple but powerful message: learning has no age limit, and everyone deserves the opportunity to participate in the digital world.

Our Objectives

The project pursued two main objectives:

1. Strengthening Lifelong Learning Through Digital Tools

ADDCLUSION aimed to improve participants’ ability to use digital technologies in everyday life, promoting independent learning, digital confidence, and greater access to online information and services.

2. Empowering Adults as Digital Transition Ambassadors

The project encouraged participants to become more active and confident digital citizens, capable of sharing their knowledge, supporting their peers, and promoting digital inclusion within their communities.

The initiative also supported social inclusion, intercultural understanding, active ageing, and European cooperation in adult education.

Our Erasmus+ Mobilities

Mobility in Bulgaria – Building Digital Confidence

The first learning mobility took place in Bulgaria, hosted by AIM, and focused on strengthening participants’ digital literacy through practical and non-formal educational activities.

Participants explored the use of computers, internet technologies, and digital platforms, gaining knowledge about online communication, digital information, and electronic shopping services.

Interactive workshops and group learning activities encouraged participants to exchange experiences, overcome technological barriers, and become more comfortable navigating digital environments.

Beyond the educational programme, the mobility provided valuable opportunities for cultural discovery, social interaction, and the development of meaningful connections.

Mobility in Germany – Putting Digital Skills into Practice

The second Erasmus+ mobility took place in Germany, hosted by uDevelop, and built upon the knowledge and competences introduced during the mobility in Bulgaria.

This learning experience focused on the practical application of digital technologies in everyday situations.

Participants explored online shopping platforms, safe digital transactions, electronic payments, online bill management, and responsible use of social media.

The activities encouraged participants to recognise the benefits of digital services, develop greater independence, and improve their ability to use technology safely and effectively.

The mobility also strengthened European cooperation and provided an enriching intercultural experience, demonstrating how international educational opportunities can support both personal growth and social inclusion.

Learning Outcomes and Project Impact

Through its educational activities and international mobilities, ADDCLUSION contributed to strengthening digital literacy and encouraging a positive attitude towards lifelong learning.

The project supported participants in:

  • Developing practical digital skills relevant to everyday life.

  • Becoming more confident in using online tools and services.

  • Understanding the importance of internet safety and responsible digital participation.

  • Improving communication and social networking competences.

  • Strengthening independence and personal confidence.

  • Experiencing intercultural learning and European cooperation.

  • Recognising the importance of continuous learning at every stage of life.

The knowledge and experiences gained through ADDCLUSION also created opportunities for participants to share their learning with others, contributing to greater digital awareness and inclusion in their local communities.

A More Inclusive Digital Future

ADDCLUSION demonstrated the importance of making digital education accessible to people of all ages and backgrounds.

For PYLON ONE, the project represented an important contribution to its ongoing commitment to inclusive adult education, equal learning opportunities, and active citizenship.

The experiences gained through the two Erasmus+ mobilities highlighted the value of international cooperation and non-formal education in helping adult learners overcome digital barriers and participate more confidently in modern society.

Although the project has concluded, its message continues: digital inclusion is not simply about learning to use technology. It is about empowering people to remain connected, independent, and actively involved in their communities.

ADDCLUSION was implemented within the framework of the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union.
